How Does Applied Kinesiology Work?
Applied Kinesiology uses the Triad of Health: chemical, mental and structural factors that balance the major health categories. The Triad of Health is interactive and all sides must be evaluated to find the underlying cause of a problem, since a health issue on one aspect of the triad can affect the other sides. For example, a chemical imbalance can cause mental symptoms. AK skills are developed and approved by the International College of Applied Kinesiology Board of Standards.Dr. Terry will use AK to find a muscle that is unbalanced and then determine why it is not functioning properly. He then works out the treatment that will best restore the balance to the patient’s muscles, and overall health. Treatments may involve specific joint manipulation or mobilization, various myofascial therapies, cranial techniques, meridian and acupuncture skills, clinical nutrition, dietary management, counseling skills, evaluating environmental irritants and various reflex procedures.
