Meet The Doctors
Osoro, the Kenyan Olympic runner and world record holder, was hit by a drunk driver while running on the side of the road, training in Kenya. After being released from the emergency room, his sponsor – Puma – flew Osoro to top orthopedic surgeons in London. Osoro could barely walk, let alone run or train. Certain movements would cause him excruciating pain in his pelvis, legs, feet, shoulders and neck. The surgeons said: “There is nothing we can do – you are just going to have to learn to deal with the pain…” Unable to give up on his passion, Osoro recalled the work of a doctor in Boulder, Dr. Doug Terry.
Dr. Terry had treated runners for the U.S., Kenya, and Germany, as well as the Nike and Adidas Track and Field teams – with incredible results. After consulting with Dr. Terry, Osoro decided in July 1999 to come to Boulder to work with Dr. Terry. Osoro knew he was putting his life and future in Dr. Terry’s hands.
“I’ve treated a lot of Olympic and world class athletes, particularly while working as the attending physician in the 1988 Seoul Olympics. When I saw Ondoro Osoro come into my office, I was more than concerned. It’s just not fair that one the best runners in the world could have his career ended by an irresponsible driver. This affected his entire family, and even the people in his village. As he approached me with his big smile and I looked into his eyes, I really wanted to help this guy. After a thorough evaluation and exam and after reviewing his x-rays, I knew deep inside I could help him, and he would be great again,” said Dr. Terry.
Dr. Terry just didn’t realize how great Osoro would become. After only ten weeks under his care at Terry Chiropractic Health Center, Ondoro Osoro was nearly fully recovered. In fact, he ran the fastest marathon EVER on American soil!! He also won the Chicago Marathon in 2:06:53!![/vc_column_text][mk_padding_divider size=”20″]

Exactly two years ago I had a shot of cortisone in my right elbow because of the terrific pain from tennis elbow. I had had six weeks of ibuprofen and a sling, which did not help at all. At the time of the shot, the doctor did not say a word about any possible side effects. About two months later, I suddenly noticed that all the tissue, fat, muscle, and even pigment around my elbow were gone and I had skin the thickness and texture of tissue paper as the only covering over the bones. When I went back to the doctor to show him this, his reply was, “Yes, that is a very well know side-effect of cortisone.” He did not give much chance of recovering, and a second doctor just said, “It’s gone.”
At the same time, I was having a very uncomfortable tingling and numbness in my left shoulder every time I sat down if only for 30 seconds. My neck was not at all flexible, and I had chronic tension knots in it, as well as many headaches, and an awful grinding sound when I rotated my neck. Needless to say, I felt awful. It was my numbness in my shoulder that finally convinced me I needed to see a chiropractor. Thank goodness I had a coupon for a free x-ray and evaluation from Terry Chiropractic, or I might have gone to someone else. And thank goodness you were willing to make a financial arrangement that I could handle, because without insurance it would have been impossible. I have been coming for 20 months and feel physically better than I have in probably 30 years. I almost never have tension headaches although I have an occasional migraine. The tingling has been gone for months, and best of all, my elbow is filling out and has been totally without pain for almost a year. My neck doesn’t crackle and crunch when I rotate it; my posture is better, which seems to make it easier to walk.
A totally unexpected, and very surprising, side effect is that my handwriting has suddenly (within the space of about two weeks) become legible again. After an operation for a ganglion cyst on my right wrist a few years ago, and then the tennis elbow on my right arm, there were times when I could not control a pen and couldn’t even read my own writing. Now, suddenly, it is as steady and legible as it was 20 years ago!
My husband has also been coming to your office for 20 months, and has completely lost the headaches he had as a result of a water-skiing accident 35 years ago. We are both happy and grateful with what chiropractic, in the hands of Dr. Terry, has done for us and I am constantly telling other people about it. Thank you SO MUCH! I love coming here, and I love Dr. Terry!

Dr. Lyle, Dr. Duff, and their staff have created a warm, welcoming, “family” atmosphere where healing happens! Both my husband and I have had chronic, and occasionally acute, back pain for years. We saw chiropractors in the past but they were both painful and ineffective. Since our treatment began at Terry Chiropractic we are feeling, and moving, better than ever. We look forward to our visits and to the love and care we receive.
After one month of coming in for tractions and adjustments my headaches went away– and now after several months of traction with the spine, the curvature in my neck is back in a normal range.
I have the pleasure of seeing Dr. Duff and Dr. Natalie on a regular basis. They are incredible doctors that have helped with not only my back problems but also my knee injury. They take the extra step to X-ray and make sure I am given the exact care I need. I highly recommend TCB for all of your health and wellness needs, and like they say, “to make 2020 your healthiest year yet.”
I am already seeing more clearly– I was having incredible challenges with my vision, with my digestion with my brain function and my energy levels…
